Well hey there, I'm Abbie, one of the events officers for 18/19. I'm a 3rd year who is wholly dedicated to throwing the most memorable and epic events chemengsoc has seen. You'll notice me at events as the biggest hype gal!! I also spend half my time playing netball so any netball gals hmu! Get excited because we have some awesome stuff coming this year..

Abbie Events Officer

I am a second year student from New Zealand, active in many other societies including in Women in Business, Squash Society and Raincatcher Charity Society. Previously, I was involved in ChemEngSoc as a member of sponsorship sub-committee. Feel free to get in touch if there is a particular company you would like to connect with, or if you have any contacts that might be useful!!

Hi I’m Amy and I’m your industrial relations and sponsorship officer this year along side Vanessa. I’m originally from Kenya but have lived in England for most of my life. A few of my hobbies include music, writing and knitting. This will be my first committee role (apart from student council chair in year 6) and I look forward to organising lots of great careers events for the society this year.

Vanessa Industrial Relations Amy Industrial Relations

Hello, I'm Katie and I'll be the Secretary of the committee this year. I'm in my 3rd year and other than studying chemeng, I enjoy playing netball, going skiing and cooking (and eating!). I am looking forward to being part of the committee for the first time and I'll be mainly managing the society email account so you'll probably be hearing lots from me.

Katie Secretary

Hi all, I’m Federico and I’m in my second year. I am your media officer this year and will take care of the Social Medias and the Website of the ChemEngSoc ! I am also VP Operations at the CGCU and enjoy running in the morning. Hope to meet you all on campus :).

Rob Vice-Chair

Having previously served as First Year Coordinator and Industrial Relations Officer, I've spent a good deal of time with ChemEngSoc over my time at Imperial. My ChemEng interests lie in environmental engineering and sustainability. This summer I interned at CustoMem, a water treatment startup developing bio-based solutions for toxic micropollutants. Feel free to approach me with any questions you may have about the course, my time at Imperial and any suggestions you have for society activities. I hope you all have a great year!

Jess Chair Sorcha Alumni Officer

Hi I’m Sorcha and I’m in my final year. I am the alumni officer for this year and also held the position in the previous academic year. I am Irish and therefore my interests include Gaelic sports, potatoes and whiskey. My role on the committee involves maintaining links between departmental alumni and current students which is achieved by holding events where alumni can speak in a personal capacity about their experiences.
